My New Obsession

I recently discovered Violet E. and find myself scrolling through her archive whenever I'm on my computer, and also on my phone when I'm away from my computer. She has a naturalness to her that I look for in myself. Her style is so her own, and she nails it. She has a idgaf attitude that I'm so drawn to. Also, her makeup is always creased, and her lips always dark, and for some reason, always flawless. Here are some inspiring photos from her blog.

One thing that I'm not a fan of is her constant smoking in her photos. I don't think that's a cool look for anyone.
Her blog is everything I wish mine was, and I'm definitely stealing some outfits from her!

(I'm in no way trying to "steal" these photos, they are all taken from her blog here: http://vi0lettae.blogspot.com/
please check her out!)

and out of the darkness the zombie did crawl

oh em gee I'm wearing leggings as pants. I never thought I would see the day. But no skinny jean has come close to what I'm looking for, and let's face it, leggings are more comfortable. I honestly love this look, so I might be a hypocrite.

I received some more Causeway Mall clothing, and I love it. Worth the price for sure, and I especially LOVE their knit pieces, my favorite piece is the red knit tunic, perfect with boots for an off day. And I am obsessed with the leopard scarf; it's exactly the kind of leopard that I like, and will look great with a rocker tee and of course, boots!

Happy 2012!

2011 was such an amazing, growing year for me. I learned so much, so many experiences. I got engaged in March, I had such an important job interview (2 actually) and didn't get the job, and in the last half of the year  I've done a lot of self discovery and realized who I am, what I have, and that I am content.

However the are always things we want to change about ourselves. I'm not necessarily calling these new years resolutions because I feel like we can change at anytime, but I understand starting a new year can be starting a new you, so that is what I'm doing. I'm calling it "Project: Work On Myself" to better my mind and my body. There is no beauty or fashion related things in this list, only relevant things to my character and my health.

1. Floss.
(For health reasons, and dental reasons, I need to do so.)
2. Save Money
(Seems obvious, but I've gotten so much better at it, no matter how many hauls I do, no one knows how much is in my savings.)
3. Learn Piano
(Since I've had mono, I've been enriching my mind, one thing I've been doing is learning to read sheet music because in February I am buying myself a keyboard.)
4. Sit Up Straight
(I need to work on my posture; this goes hand in hand with doing more yoga.)
5. Have a More Positive Attitude
(I'm positive and stress free anyway, but everyone could be a little more positive.)
6. Eat Well
(When I eat healthy I feel amazing, and I want this feeling more often.)
7. Drink Water
(This goes with the previous, but I don't drink enough.)
8. Read More
(I don't want to set a number of books to read in 2012, I just want to be non-stop reading.)
9. Take Care of Myself
(This entails being selfish, when I need rest, I take it, when I need a mental health day, I take it.)
10. Actually Write Something
(I have some good ideas for short stories, I just need to put them on paper.)
11. Journal
(Just a few sentences a day. I've already started this.)

I want it to be clear, I'm completely happy with who I am, and these are things I should do naturally, and are achievable. I simply need to listen to my body, my mind, and better myself.

What are the things you want to work on about yourself?
